Dr. Rami joined Allied Diagnostics in March 2008, bringing his 8 years of experience in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging to the company.
Originating from Lebanon, he studied medicine from 1993-2000 at the Saint Joseph University, Beirut, one of the oldest universities in the Middle East region. After graduating he spent 4 years at the department of Cardiology of Hotel Dieu de France hospital, Beirut as a fellow.
In 2004 he moved to Lyon, France where he trained in non invasive cardiovascular imaging especially cardiac Multidetector CT and Cardiac MRI at the department of Radiology of the Cardiovascular and Pneumology hospital, a 460 bed university hospital affiliated to the Claude Bernard University (Lyon I).
From 2004-2006, He worked as a cardiologist in the department of Cardiovascular Radiology in the European Hospital George Pompidou, Paris, an 800 bed University hospital affiliated to the Rene Descartes University (Paris V). During this period he focused on 64-detector cardiac CT imaging, 1.5 T MRI for cardiac imaging as well as Echocardiography, in clinical routine and research.
From 2006 until he joined Allied Diagnostics, he returned to Lebanon as Head of the VCT Unit at Bahman Hospital, a 200 bed hospital in Beirut.
Dr. Rami is now one of the few cardiologists accredited to train Radiologists and/or Cardiologists on Cardiac Imaging. He is involved in academic courses as well as clinical activity at Allied Diagnostics within the UAE and Sultanate of Oman and he has to his credit many research publications and lectures at regional and international levels.
